Academic Program
Academics
At Christian Heritage Academy (CHA), we are dedicated to partnering with families to encourage, equip, and educate children toward their God-given potential with excellence. Our comprehensive curriculum spans from early childhood through high school, integrating rigorous academics with a Biblical worldview to foster spiritual growth and academic excellence.
Early Childhood Program (K3 - K5): Our early childhood program offers a developmentally appropriate, Biblically-based educational experience. Children engage in activities such as Bible time, letter and number recognition, and basic science and health explorations. The curriculum includes art, music, and physical education, promoting creativity and physical development. Utilizing the BJU Press Early Childhood curriculum, we ensure a structured yet flexible approach to early learning.
Elementary Program: Grades 1-5
In the elementary grades, students build a strong academic foundation through core subjects like reading, writing, arithmetic, history, and science. Our approach emphasizes phonetic reading skills, effective communication, and mathematical concepts, all taught from a Biblical perspective. To enrich learning, we incorporate recreational activities, field trips, and hands-on projects, catering to diverse learning styles and fostering a love for learning.
Middle School Program: Grades 6-8
Middle school at CHA serves as a bridge between elementary and high school, introducing students to a rotating block schedule and diverse teaching styles. The curriculum includes core subjects such as Bible studies, English, history, mathematics, science, health, and physical education. Students also explore elective courses like agriculture, typing, and Spanish, allowing them to discover and develop their interests and talents.
High School Program: Grades 9-12
Our high school program is designed to prepare students for higher education and life beyond, offering a college preparatory curriculum grounded in Biblical truth. Students engage in advanced classes across core subjects and have opportunities to enroll in dual enrollment courses through The College at Southeastern, earning college credits while completing their high school education. Elective offerings, including worship team participation and advanced physical education, enable students to pursue their passions and develop leadership skills.
At every educational stage, CHA is committed to nurturing each student's unique gifts and guiding them to know and follow God's will for their lives.
