3.23.20 - Letter from Mr. Quist

March 23, 2020
By Public Relations

Dear CHA Students & Families,

As you may already be aware, Governor Northam has ordered schools (public and private) closed for the remainder of the school year. Understandably, this announcement generates many questions for you and us as well. We are fervently praying for the Lord to reveal the next steps for CHA and believing, by faith, that He will answer those prayers according to His will.

Our administrative team met this evening to discuss this situation and will be taking immediate steps to gather information and evaluate our options. Tomorrow, we plan to seek guidance from the Virginia Department of Education and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) on a variety of issues, including graduation requirements and verified credits, continuity of learning, grades, and GPA. Additionally, please look for a family survey to be sent out to you later this week. This survey will provide us with critical information about our students and families as we work to put a plan in place for our school.

Thank you for your continued patience and prayers. We will provide another update as soon as possible. In the meantime, let’s continue to work together to complete our current Remote Learning Program.

Stronger together,

Tony Quist
