It is always great to hear about the many successes of our CHA alumni including the fruitful career paths they’ve chosen and the wonderful families they’ve built, but it is particularly heartwarming to learn about our former students helping others in extraordinary ways. Dillon Anderson, class of 2012, is one of these students.
Dillon currently lives in Lynchburg, Va., attending Liberty University in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program. Similarly, his close friend and fellow classmate, Andrew, is working to obtain his Airframe and Power Plant Mechanics license in the same program. To support his wife and one-year old son, Andrew works 40 hours per week doing custodial work at a local church, in addition to dedicating 40 hours per week to class time. Andrew is also a former Marine.
With an eagerness to serve others, Dillon has decided to launch a GoFundMe page to raise money for Andrew and his family such that Andrew might be able to work at his job less, commit more time to his classwork, and spend more time with his wife and son.
We are proud to share this page that Dillon has so kindly created for his friend. Like so many other CHA alumni, Dillon has a compassionate heart that is compelled to serve the Lord by serving others. He credits CHA for helping him to live as a serving leader.
“I would have to say that CHA definitely set the stage for me to know how to live my life as Christ would want me to live and to be a Light to a world that needs help and love,” said Dillon. “There was never a moment that I felt that I could not go to a teacher and ask for advice on life or for them to pray for a life situation I was going through. The teachers at CHA are there for the students in every aspect.”
