July 30, 2018, Rocky Mount, Virginia — With the 2018-2019 school year on the horizon, Christian Heritage Academy is excited to announce the addition of longstanding and faithful community members Brian Arrington and Tina Byrd to the Board of Directors. The two will replace veteran board members Gordon Rutrough and Joe Boone.
“I’m very excited to welcome our newest board members and look forward to working alongside them on the journey head,” Head of School Tony Quist explained.
Arrington and Byrd have deep-rooted relationships with the CHA community. Byrd, who attends Trinity Reformed Baptist Church, retired from Christian Heritage Academy just last year after more than three decades of teaching at the school. Arrington is a parishioner at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and has two children attending CHA. He is also the V.P of Operations at Arrington Management Group, LLC.
The two new board members will join the ranks of Rob Johnson, Donna Greer, Mac Cooper, and Tony Quist. They’ll also be working alongside Bobby Young and Ray Novak who were welcomed to the board last year.
But, as the community looks forward to a new and lasting legacy, Tony Quist says Christian Heritage Academy will never forget the work done by Rutrough and Boone during their more than a decade of service to the school.
“Mr. Boone and Mr. Rutrough’s faithful service, devoted support, and wise counsel has made and everlasting impact on our school,” revealed Quist. “These gentlemen have helped to make CHA what it is today, and in many ways, what it has the potential to become in the future. We will sincerely miss their service on the board.”
